  Seminar in English Language Teaching Course is searching for information concerning English language pedagogy and problems in teaching and learning English. By the teacher assigned me to study from variety sources such as article, research, ad online resources which are necessary in order for teachers to keep up-to-date in the ELT (English Language Teaching) field. Moreover, teacher assigned me to work in group like a collaborative class. Then, we have to  discuss and analyze of readings and current problems in English language pedagogy.  What we learned form this course? 1. Global English: using  the English Language  as a common means of communication across cultures-a lingua franca . Also known as  International English  and  Common English . 2. Contexts of English teaching:  It is widely recognized that second language (L2) mental lexicon must be independent of its first language (L1) counterpart, if learners are to use the target language effectively and fluently.

  From last week, teacher assigned everyone in my class to study about Sociocultural Theory as an Approach to aid EFL Learners of Vygotsky Theory. So, what we learned today? Today I learned about the Vygotskian approach, the teacher's scaffolding and Zone of Proximal Development.   For this class, teacher reviewed about Communicative Language Teaching again. The contents was the same that I learned before. She talked about the tenets and principles of CLT, 4 competences of CLT, classroom activities, strength and constrain of CLT ,Teacher's roles, Students' roles. But for today teacher added in formation about the priciples of learner-centered and teaching method: Top-Down and Bottom-Up.  So, I will talk about the new thing for learning  as follows: Learner-centered or  student - centered learning     It refers to a wide variety of educational programs,  learning  experiences, instructional approaches, and academic-support strategies that are intended to address the distinct  learning  needs, interests, aspirations, or cultural backgrounds of individual  students  and groups of  students .   For today, we presents the tasks that the teacher assigned to do group work. There are many group, for each group got the difference topic.    Today I learned about CLT (communicative Language Teaching). So, what we learned today? Communicative Language Teaching  (CLT) Which is an approach to the teaching of second and foreign languages, emphasizes interaction as both the means and the ultimate goal of learning a language.     Today, before we learned the new lesson, teacher asked about life in the 4th year students. My friends and I replied, It's very tiring and stressful. Teacher told me to be patient and try to make it to the fullest. So, it made me feel better, and encouraged to learn more.    Next, what I learned today? After that, the teacher gave the handout me to read again at home.    I learned from 08.30 a.m. until 10.0 a.m. and then I had a midterm examination. It's about the thing that we learned such as what is "Global English"? And how to implicate in teaching and learning English?, what is differences between ESL and EFL? And how to implicate in teaching and learning English?, What are the factors that affect in learning and teaching English? How to implicate in teaching and learning in English?    Today I learned about the English teaching problems in Thailand and Thai teacher's problems.     First, teacher asked me to think about the problems of Thai education, and I found that it had many problems such as, teacher had many works, teacher not understand the curricula, large class, students lacked of motivation in learning and etc. These problems are stills for long time, and Thai education system can't solve the problems.    Next, teacher assigned me to read the article about English teaching problem in Thailand, and I learned about problems involving teachers as follows: The top 5 highest ranks of their problems were concerned with  1) teaching writing 2) incorporating experiential learning into English classes 3) their own minimal use and/or exposure to English 4) teaching listening and speaking 5) using games and songs effectively in English classes Then, I will tell you about the problems involving students had the highest problems as foll
