Learning Reflection (13th) of Seminar in English Language Teaching Course

  For today, we presents the tasks that the teacher assigned to do group work. There are many group, for each group got the difference topic. For example, CLT or communicative language approach to language Teaching, English Teaching Problem in Thailand, Factors Affecting English Language Teaching and Learning, English Teaching and Learning in the 21st Century Learner, and Critical Thinking etc. For my group, we got the topic about English Teaching and Learning in the 21st Century Learner. So, I summarize it as follows:
The overview of my presentation

    - Framework for the 21st century Learning
A unified vision for learning to ensure student success in a world where change is constant and learning never to stop.

    - The Key Subjects and 21st Century Themes
  - Learning and Innovation Skills: 4Cs skills in the 21st century

  - Teacher Roles in the 21st Century
   The 21st century classroom needs are very different from the 20th century ones. In 21st century classroom, teachers are facilitators of student learning and creators of productive classroom environments.
1. The Controller: The teacher is in complete charge of the class.
2. The Prompter: The teacher encourages students to participate and makes suggestions about how students may proceed in an activity.
3. The Resource: The teacher is a kind of walking resource center ready to offer help if needed.
4. The Assessor: The role of an assessor gives teachers an opportunity to correct learners.
5. The Organizer: The success of many activities depends on good organization.
6. The Participant: This role improves the atmosphere in the class when the teacher takes part in an activity.
7. The Tutor: The teacher acts as a coach when students are involved in project work or self-study.
  - 5 Essential 21st Century Teaching Strategies
  For me, I like to learn by work in group. It make I and my friends show our quality. We help to work and have responsibility in oneself.

Denque Fever

     Dengue fever is a disease caused by the mosquito.  Especially during the month of August, this is the rainy season. Everyone has a chance to be a dengue fever if you do not take care yourself.       Symptoms of dengue acute high fever for about 2-7 days.  Loss of appetite, headache, nausea and vomiting. Some people have red blood spots on the body, arms and legs. Maybe shock or possible died. How to prevent and control dengue is best to control spread of mosquito. • Get rid of mosquito breeding sources such as tires, cans  and  sources of water. • Will have to campaign for the removal of mosquito larvae in the community. • Maintain health, fitness, self-care and  family care.

Learning Reflection (3rd) of Seminar in English language Teaching Course

     From last week, teacher assigned me to discuss about ESL, EFL, EIL and the role of English in Thailand. So, today we have to present about that into the class. After that, teacher assigned everyone in the class to watch the video about  "The Global Englishes" of Crystal, D.      From the video we learned the Global Englishes is using English language as a common means of communication across cultures or we can called "lingua franca" which used among people who speak various different language.      Global English is a style of writing that makes written English more easily understood by non-native speakers. Global English does this by being precise, logical and literal. It is the language of manual and technical writers who want their writing to be extremely clear to anyone who reads it.    The things that make I think this topic is easy, because I prepared to search the information about Global English before we learned.
