Learning Reflection (8th) of seminar in English Language Teaching Course

Today I learned about the English teaching problems in Thailand and Thai teacher's problems.

First, teacher asked me to think about the problems of Thai education, and I found that it had many problems such as, teacher had many works, teacher not understand the curricula, large class, students lacked of motivation in learning and etc. These problems are stills for long time, and Thai education system can't solve the problems.

Next, teacher assigned me to read the article about English teaching problem in Thailand, and I learned about problems involving teachers as follows:

The top 5 highest ranks of their problems were concerned with
1) teaching writing
2) incorporating experiential learning into English classes
3) their own minimal use and/or exposure to English
4) teaching listening and speaking
5) using games and songs effectively in English classes

Then, I will tell you about the problems involving students had the highest problems as follows:

1) students not having enough practice in English on their own
2) students lacking opportunities for English exposure outside class
3) students' insufficient knowledge and skills of English
4) students thinking in Thai before translating into English
5) students having problems with writing
6) students lacking patience in practicing English
7) students having problems with listening and pronunciation
8) students lacking confidence in speaking English

Moreover, I learned about other problems such as curricula and textbooks and assessments which  are having too much cover and the teachers not understand the details of the curricula.

In my opinion, I think everyone know about every problems that happened with Thai education system but just only one person can't solve the problems so, we have to help solving the problems.
